Becquerel (Bq)

A Becquerel (Bq) is an International Standard (SI) unit of the radioactivity: 1/S. One Bq indicates one radioactive decay per second. Because this is a very small amount, radioactivity is usually measured in GBq or TBq. Another measure of radioactivity, the curie, is equivalent to 37 billion Bq.
