Functional Safety

Functional Safety is a part of the overall safety system that depends on a system or equipment operating correctly in response to its inputs. The Functional Safety can be achieved when every SIF (Safety Instrumented Function) is successfully carried out and the process risk is reduced to the desired level. The automatic protection system should be designed to properly handle including human errors, hardware failures, and operational and environmental stress.
