Kitchen Cabinet

A Kitchen Cabinet is a small group of unofficial advisers who is inner circle around the President. There is no hard-and-fast rule on the composition or extent of a Kitchen Cabinet, the more likely a President is to draw criticism for being ‘Presidential’, autocratic and reliant on cronyism rather than the expertise of elected individuals.
The Kitchen Cabinet: Andrew Jackson was the 7th American President who served in office from March 4, 1829 to March 4, 1837. One of the important events during his presidency was his use of unofficial advisors referred to by his enemies as the “Kitchen Cabinet”.
