Monte Carlo

Monte Carlo is a town in Monaco principality. Monte Carlo Technique, Analysis or Method is a simulation technique using random sampling of variables in the approximate evaluation to obtain numerical results: optimisation, numerical integration, and a probability distribution. The concept was first popularized right after World War II, to study nuclear fission; mathematician Stanislaw Ulam coined the term in reference to an uncle who loved playing the odds at the Monte Carlo casino.
