Sodium (Na) is a chemical element of atomic number (Z) 11, group 1, period 3, and atomic weight 22.990. The Sodium (Na) is a soft metal, reactive and with a low melting point that is the most important of all the alkaline metals, used in making esters and in the manufacture of organic compounds.
