Algorithmic Trading (or Algo Trading)

Algorithmic Trading (or Algo Trading) is a system of trading which facilitates transaction decision making in the financial markets using advanced and complex mathematical models and formulas to make high-speed decisions and transactions. The Algorithmic Trading is a method of executing a large order using automated pre-programmed trading instructions accounting for variables such as time, price, and amount to order small slices to the market over time. It is estimated that 50 percent of stock trading volume in the U.S. is currently being driven by the Algorithmic Trading.
