Downward Quantity Tolerance (DQT)

The Downward Quantity Tolerance (DQT) is the amount by which a buyer may fall short of its full annual contract quantity in the Take or Pay (TOP) gas sales contract without incurring sanctions. It must nevertheless take excess gas in subsequent years to make good its deficiency, before it is entitled to claim any Make Up Gas.
