Hidden Failure

A Hidden Failure is a functional failure that is not immediately evident to the operation or maintenance but the potential failure of equipment function or system performance. The Hidden Failure remains undetected and uncovered by another system that is typically failures of one or more components aligned in parallel with no indication of failure for each individual component.
