Butylene (C4H8)

Butylene (C4H8) is an alkene, olefin hydrocarbon recovered from refinery processes. It is a colourless gas that is present in crude oil as a minor quantity. The Butylene can be used as the monomer for poly-butene which is commonly used as a co-polymer such as in hot-melt adhesives.
