Cracking

A Cracking is 1) a secondary process in a refinery that is to reduce hydrocarbon chains to smaller molecules, light hydrocarbon. Usually, the Cracking process condition is a high pressure and temperature with the catalyst; 2) a fracture of a material along a path that produces a linear discontinuity.
