Critical Activity

A Critical Activity is an activity relating to providing services in which disruption may have significant impact or influence on schedule, cost, safety, quality, environment, and operating performance. The Critical Activity in the schedule control and management is a work element which must be properly managed to ensure the success of an activity, project, programme, and organisation that is in the critical path and influences the ending date of the project.
