Duration is the length of time for which the event state exists that is a required continuous time scale for a certain activity, from start to finish. The Duration specifies the unit of time for the duration of each activity in the project. Normally, the Duration is expressed in days but may be expressed in other time units such as months, weeks, or hours. (e.g., Original Duration; Current Duration; Actual Duration; Remaining Duration)
