Isomerization

Isomerization is a refining process to rearrange the atoms in a molecule without adding or removing anything from the original material that the product has the same chemical formula but has a different structure, such as converting normal butane to isobutane, and normal pentane and hexane into isopentane and isohexane, high-octane gasoline components.
