Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2)

Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) is one of several nitrogen oxides (NOx) produced during combustion processes, particular higher temperature combustion associated with burning fossil fuels. NOx are harmful pollutants that have direct health consequences in humans and contribute to the formation of ground-level ozone and acid rain. NO2 is linked to reduced lung function and respiratory issues in asthmatic children.
