Oil Resource

An Oil Resource is a collective term for all recoverable volumes of oil classified according to the maturity with regard to development and production that adds categories for contingent and prospective resources in addition to proven and unproven reserves. Contingent reserves are potentially recoverable, but for which are not yet regarded as recoverable economically because recovery requires new and expensive technology.
