Reference

A Reference (ref) is 1) the use of a source of information in speech or in writing; 2) a relation between things or objects in which one thing designates, or acts as a means by which to connect to another thing (refer to); 3) a letter that is written by someone who can be asked for information about another person’s character, abilities, etc.
