SCES (Safety Critical Elements)

Safety Critical Elements (SCES) are the essential components which prevent or limit the effects of a major accident. A SCES management involves the selection of the safety critical elements by identifying structures and plants which can cause, contribute to, prevent or help recover from a major accident event.
