Steam Turbine

A Steam Turbine is a turbine that generates power from the conversion of the heat energy of steam to mechanical energy. When steam is allowed to expand through an orifice then heat energy (enthalpy), is converted into kinetic energy which is changed to mechanical energy through the impact or reaction of steam against the blades.
