A Tertiary Butyl Alcohol (TBA, (CH3)3COH)) is an alcohol primarily used as a chemical feedstock, a solvent or feedstock for isobutylene production for MTBE; produced as a co-product of propylene oxide production or by direct hydration of isobutylene.
