Heat Transmission Coefficient (or Heat Transfer Coefficient) is the constant that relates the heat transfer to the change in temperature used to calculate heat transmission by conduction, convection, or radiation through materials or structures. The Heat Transfer Coefficient is the proportionality constant between the heat flux and thermodynamic driving force for the flow of heat. The unit of measurement in the international standard (SI) units is W/(m^2 °K). (Refer to the U-Value (Coefficient of Heat Transmission))
