HAZID (Hazard Identification)

A Hazard Identification (HAZID) is a work process of identifying hazards, which forms the first step of a risk assessment of the project. A HAZID is to obtain a list of hazards for subsequent evaluation using the risk assessment techniques that is the failure case selection, and to perform a qualitative evaluation of the significance of the hazards and the measures for reducing the risks. Also, known as a hazard assessment.
