Surge Capacity

A Surge Capacity is the ability of a system or organisation to rapidly expand its operations or resources in response to an increased demand or an emergency situation that used for unforeseen emergencies and disasters, usually 3-5 times the rated power, that is the maximum power and can be provided over a short time. The Surge Capacity is a concept often used in the disaster management, emergency preparedness, and context of healthcare systems that can effectively respond to and manage a surge in demand without becoming overwhelmed.
