Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF)

A Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) is the measure of the reliability of repairable item that is the elapsed time period in the life of a functional unit between consecutive failures of a mechanical or electronic system under stated conditions. A MTBF is calculated: the sum of operational time divided by the number of failures (Dimension: time). (Refer to the Mean Time To Failure (MTTF))
