The U.S. Dollar Index (USDX) is a measure of the value of the United States Dollar (USD, US$) relative to the basket of foreign currencies that consists of a geometric weighted average of basket of foreign currencies against the dollar: Euro (EUR), Yen (JPY), Pound (GBP), Canadian dollar (CAD), Krona (SEK), Franc (CHF). An USDX is similar to other trade weighted indexes, such as the exchange rates from the same major currencies, and maintained and published by ICE, with the name U.S. Dollar Index a registered trademark.
