Flange

A Flange is a type of the pipe fitting materials that connects pipes or with other components such as valves, instruments, equipment as a part of piping system with easy access for installation and maintenance cleaning or inspection. The Flange joint is usually by bolting with a gasket for a sealing.

Flanges are usually welded or screwed, and flanged joints are made by bolting together two flanges with a gasket between them to provide a seal. The most used Flange Types in petrochemical and refinery industry are: Welding Neck Flange, Slip On Flange, Socket Weld Flange, Lap Joint Flange, Threaded Flange, Blind Flange, and there are still a number of special flanges such as: Orifice Flanges, Long Welding Neck Flanges, Weldoflange / Nipoflange, Expander Flange, Reducing Flange.
