FTA (Fault Tree Analysis)

The Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) is a systematic method of top down, deductive failure analysis that was first introduced by Bell Laboratories and is one of the most widely used methods in system reliability, maintainability and safety analysis. FTA is used to analyse graphical symbols of the failure logic of a given event, to identify various failure scenarios with the probabilistic estimation of the frequency of the event.
