Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) is all equipment and clothing that will protect persons against one or more risks to health and safety at work from physical, electrical, heat, chemicals, biohazards, or airborne particulate matter. A PPE includes protective clothing, safety helmet, gloves, eye protection, high-visibility clothing, safety footwear and safety harnesses or equipment designed to protect the wearer's body from injury or infection. It also includes respiratory protective equipment (RPE).
