Waste Water Treatment Unit (WWTU)

Waste Water Treatment Unit (WWTU) is a water treatment facility that is a process to convert waste water to an effluent which can be reused or minimal environmental impact subject to regulations. A WWTU can be configured, depend on the quality of waste water and regulation requirements, a chemical (chemical treatment process), biological (bio treatment process), and mechanical (sedimentation, filtration, clarifier, CPI (Corrugated Plate Interceptor) oil separator, API oil and water separator) treatment processes to upgrade waste water characteristics such as BOD (biological oxygen demand), COD (chemical oxygen demand), PH, etc., to meet the effluent standard.
