Zero Balance Account (ZBA)

Zero Balance Account (ZBA) is a system of checking account which always contains a balance of zero funds. A ZBA is a legacy system of two banks account, of which an entity makes a check payment that transfers only enough funds into the account to maintain a zero balance, the amount equal to the checks cleared each day. A ZBA is used by corporations to eliminate excess balances for investment purposes, and to leave in the current accounts of the subsidiaries that minimum amounts to be dealt.
