Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)

Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) is a wide range of dispute resolution processes and techniques including the mediation, arbitration, conciliation, negotiation, and transaction instead of litigation that parties can use to settle disputes, with the help of a third party, outside of any governmental authority. Agreements often contain a clause requiring the parties to participate in ADR process and prescribing what processes will be followed if a disagreement arises in relation to the agreement.
