Ambiguity Principle

An Ambiguity Principle is an insurance industry rule that if the expressions can be given more than one acceptable interpretation in insurance contracts against the insurer and therefore in favour of the insured. This is because an insurance policy is an adhesion contract the insured had no input in setting the terms of the policy.
