Automatic (or Remote) Meter Reading (AMR) System

An Automatic (or Remote) Meter Reading (AMR) System is a technology used to automatically collecting data system that records the consumption, diagnostic, and status data from utilities (water, gas, electric, etc.) and sends the data to a central data accumulation device for billing, troubleshooting and analysis. An AMR technologies include handheld, mobile and network technologies based on internet platforms, radio frequency (RF), or powerline transmission, etc.
