Batch Reactor

A Batch Reactor is a reactor in which the reactants are added to the reactor at the start of the reaction that is allowed to react in the reactor for a fixed time. (e.g., solids dissolution, product mixing, chemical reactions, batch distillation, crystallization, liquid/liquid extraction and polymerisation)
