Beta (β) Particle and Radiation

A Beta (β) Particle is a particle emitted from an atom during radioactive decay that is the electrons and more penetrating than alpha particles. The Beta (β) Particle can be stopped by thin sheets of metal or plastic, but large amounts of Beta Radiation can cause skin burns.

Beta Radiation is the ionizing radiation from beta decay in the form of an energetic electron or positron.
