Californium (Cf) is a synthetic, radioactive chemical element with atomic number (Z) 98, group n/a, period 7, and atomic mass number 251. The Californium (Cf) is a member of the actinide group of the periodic table. Californium has not been produced yet because its compounds resist reduction.
