Central Receiver Solar Power Plant

A Central Receiver Solar Power Plant consists of a large number of two-axis tracking mirrors, heliostats and a heat exchanger located at the top of a central tower in which each heliostat is individually positioned by a computer control system to reflect the sun’s rays to a tower-mounted thermal receiver.
