Chemical Explosion

Chemical Explosion is either decomposition or combination reactions that is usually involving a rapid and violent oxidation reaction and produces large amounts of hot gases, exothermic and the energy released by the reaction. The energy is typically mechanical in nature and takes the form of a shock wave or the kinetic energy which the large amount of energy must be released. Decomposition reactions occur in materials such as trinitrotoluene (TNT) and nitroglycerine. (Refer to the Physical Explosion)
