Compaction

Compaction is the process of increasing the density of soil by mechanical means to prevent the settlement of soil over time. The Compaction can be carried out by vibration, impact, or kneading as well as pressure by tillage, livestock pressure and/or vehicular traffic whereby the density of soils is increased.
