Current Dollars (or Constant Dollars)

Current Dollars (or Constant Dollars) are the value or purchasing power of a dollar that is not reduced or increased to a common basis of constant purchasing power, but instead adjusted to reflect the effects of inflation or any other changes by using an index to convert them into the initial current value. The Current Dollars are used in economic reviews, discussions and in monthly economic reports that shows to the dollar value at current price.
