A Cyclone is 1) a separation device to remove particulates from flue gases that uses the principle of inertia and method of removing particulates from an air, gas, or liquid stream, without the use of filters, through vortex separation; 2) a system of winds rotating inwards to an area of low barometric pressure, with an anticlockwise (northern hemisphere) or clockwise (southern hemisphere) circulation.
