Dust Hazard Analysis (DHA)

The Dust Hazard Analysis (DHA) in accordance with the NFPA 652, is a systematic review to identify and evaluate the potential fire, flash fire, or explosion hazards associated with the presence of combustible particulate dusts and particulate solids in a process or facility. A DHA is often a mandatory safety requirement in many industries and is governed by regulations and standards, such as those set forth by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) in the United States and other international organizations like the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
