First Mover

A First Mover is an individual or a company who introduces a new product or service with a breakthrough technology or method into a new market or business at the first time. The First Mover Advantage (FMA) is the advantage that an individual or a company has the initial significant and potential leading to higher revenues and profits until another competitor comes the market. The First Mover has always the economic burden of developing a new product and market including the start-up cost.
