Flood/ One Hundred-Year (100 Year) flood

Flood is an overflow of large amount of water onto lands which is not normally covered by water, but usually dry. Floods are any relatively high streamflow overtopping the natural or artificial banks in any reach of a stream.
A One Hundred-Year (100 Year) flood is a flood level that has a 1 percent annual exceedance probability (AEP), flood (does not mean to a flood that occurs once every 100 years)
