A Food Chain is a sequence of different organisms that is a linear network of links in a food in the natural environment in which an animal or plant usually lives. The Food Chain starts with a producer, which is an organism that makes food, usually a green plant, because plants can make their own food by photosynthesis, and ending with a consumer, which is an animal that eats a plant or another animal, or decomposer species such as fungi or bacteria.
