Front End (or Front-end)

A Front End (or Front-end) is 1) the first part of a process, series of events, period of time, or relating to the beginning of an undertaking (e.g., Front End Schedule, Front End Engineering and Design (FEED)); 2) in computer engineering, a part of a computer, piece of software, website, physical infrastructure, or hardware that is directly accessed and interacted with by the user, and the Front End system can be a software application or the combination or hardware, software and network resources.
