Gage R&R (Repeatability and Reproducibility)

Gage R&R (Repeatability and Reproducibility) is the quantitative assessment of the statistical tool and measurement system that compares the total variation of the variation of the process itself (Repeatability) and the variation of the measurement system (Reproducibility). The purpose of conducting the Gage (or Gauge) R&R is to distinguish and to improve or reduce the measurement system variation if the variation of repeatability and reproducibility exceeds of the tolerance.
