Geopolitics is a framework of the geographic influences on power relationships in international relations that explains how countries, businesses, terrorist groups, etc. try to reach their political goals by controlling geographic features of the world. Geopolitics include area studies, climate, topography, demography, natural resources, and applied science of the region being evaluated that is a complex and ever-evolving field, and understanding it is essential for policymakers, diplomats, and anyone interested in international relations and global affairs.
