A Gray Rhino is an image for the fact as a highly probable, high impact yet all too often neglected threat: so many things to go wrong in business, in policy, and in our personal lives are avoidable. The Gray Rhino is not random surprises but occurs after a series of warnings and visible evidence, while a Black Swan can occur as a result of the convergence of events that is defined highly improbable events, impossible to predict, which have a massive impact on the world.
