Green Economy

A Green Economy is defined as low carbon, resource efficient and socially inclusive that is driven by public and private investment into such economic activities, infrastructure and assets to glow in employment and income. The Green Economy is an alternative vision for growth and development that aims at reducing environmental risks and ecological scarcities, and closely related with ecological economics, but has a more politically applied focus.

Reference Definition by UNEP: Green Economy Modelling is a powerful tool that: (a) establishes a relationship between policy targets and relevant economic, environmental and social dimensions; (b) projects the impacts of policy measures in advance; (c) analyses the effects of existing policies and; (d) identifies synergies and cross-sectoral impacts among policy choices.
