A Grid Line (or Gridline) is 1) any of a series of numbered horizontal and perpendicular lines that divides a map into squares to form a grid by means of which any point may be located by a system of rectangular coordinates; 2) the light gray line that divides each of the cells, rows, and columns in a spreadsheet; 3) the metallic contacts fused to the surface of the solar cell to provide a low resistance path for electrons to flow out to the cell interconnect wires.
